Cisco is hiring talented Software Engineers with 0–2 years of experience to work on next-generation Ethernet Switch products and network ASIC-based platforms.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and develop system software for Ethernet Switch products
- Develop SDK for next-generation feature-rich network ASIC platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Hardware, ASIC, Marketing, and Testing
- Work closely with Distinguished and Principal Engineers
- Focus on building scalable, high-performance, and reliable networking solutions
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 0–2 years of relevant software development experience
- Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming
- Experience with network programming and networking protocols
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies: L2, L3, VXLAN, MPLS, ACL, QoS
- Good understanding of Operating Systems and Distributed Systems
- Hands-on experience in Switch/Router software development
- Prior experience in SDK development for Custom or Merchant ASICs is a strong plus
