S&P Global is inviting applications for the position of Associate Software Development Engineer - Information Security at its Hyderabad office. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in Application Security, Python automation, Cloud Security, AI Security, and Secure Software Development.
The selected candidate will work closely with engineering teams to improve application security, perform threat modeling, automate security testing, and help secure modern AI and cloud-based applications. Candidates with knowledge of Python, networking, cryptography, OWASP Top 10, and secure software development practices are encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist engineering teams by providing secure software development guidance for backend systems, UI frameworks, and cloud integrations.
- Support threat modeling, secure design reviews, and secure code reviews across applications.
- Help identify security vulnerabilities in AI applications, LLM pipelines, and AI agents.
- Assist in assessing risks such as prompt injection, insecure outputs, data poisoning, and other AI-specific security issues.
- Develop and automate security testing solutions using Python and open-source security tools.
- Integrate security automation into CI/CD pipelines to improve software security.
- Analyze, triage, and assist in resolving vulnerabilities identified through automated security scans and manual testing.
- Implement reusable application security patterns and support secure deployment architectures.
- Ensure applications and AI workloads are appropriately sandboxed and segmented according to data sensitivity.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, zero-day vulnerabilities, and OWASP Top 10 for LLMs.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- 1 year or more of experience in Information Security, Application Security, or secure software development.
- Strong programming knowledge in Python for automation, scripting, or security-related tasks.
- Knowledge of Java or JavaScript/Angular will be an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of AI concepts, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and secure AI application development.
- Knowledge of secure API usage and AI data privacy principles.
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10, secure coding standards, and application security best practices.
- Knowledge of web services, REST APIs, Microservices, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Good understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
- Knowledge of TLS/DTLS, PKI, certificate management, and encryption concepts.
- Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
