Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is inviting applications for the position of Software Systems Engineer – DevOps in Bengaluru. This opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates and candidates with up to two years of experience who are passionate about Cloud Computing, DevOps, Distributed Systems, Infrastructure Automation, and Cloud Native Technologies.
Selected candidates will work on next-generation cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, observability solutions, and scalable distributed systems while collaborating with experienced software engineers and architects.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop scalable, high-quality software using Python, Golang, Java, C, or C++.
- Build and maintain cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
- Develop automation solutions for deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
- Create automated test cases and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, VMware, or KVM environments.
- Build REST and gRPC-based services and APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design and implement technical solutions.
- Improve software observability, testability, debugging, and monitoring.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute innovative ideas.
- Continuously learn modern DevOps tools and cloud technologies.
Eligibility Criteria
- B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
- 0–2 years of software development experience, including internships or academic projects.
- Knowledge of Distributed Systems, Microservices, Cloud Native development, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, OpenStack, VMware, or KVM.
- Knowledge of Docker, Cassandra, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Understanding of Infrastructure Automation tools like Ansible, Helm, or Terraform.
- Knowledge of REST APIs or gRPC-based services.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Passion for learning modern software engineering and DevOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and Agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain and FastAPI.
- Exposure to MLOps/AIOps tools like SageMaker, Databricks, Vertex AI, Azure ML, or MLFlow.
- Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Argo Workflows.
- Participation in hackathons, open-source projects, IEEE, technical communities, or research publications.
