About Hitachi Energy Off Campus Drive 2026
Hitachi Energy is hiring talented and passionate graduates for the role of AI/ML Engineer at its Chennai office. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers who are interested in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Cloud Computing, and MLOps. Selected candidates will work on next-generation AI-powered solutions for transformer design, manufacturing, engineering operations, and digital transformation initiatives.
Candidates with strong programming skills in Python, AI/ML fundamentals, cloud technologies, and problem-solving abilities are encouraged to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and support end-to-end AI/ML pipelines for engineering, manufacturing, and operational workflows.
- Build data ingestion, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring pipelines.
- Design and develop cloud-based AI/ML and Generative AI solutions using modern cloud platforms.
- Build LLM-powered assistants, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications, and domain-specific AI chatbots.
- Support development of Agentic AI workflows capable of planning, reasoning, and tool orchestration.
- Collaborate with transformer design engineers, digital product teams, and operations stakeholders.
- Translate business and engineering requirements into scalable AI solution architectures.
- Implement MLOps and GenAIOps best practices including automation, versioning, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Perform testing, validation, optimization, and performance tuning of AI models before deployment.
- Create technical documentation for AI pipelines, workflows, and software architecture.
- Participate in Agile development, design discussions, code reviews, and continuous learning initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's (B.E/B.Tech) or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience through projects, internships, or academics in AI/ML pipeline development.
- Strong programming knowledge in Python.
- Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, NumPy, and Pandas.
- Understanding of Generative AI concepts including LLMs, Prompt Engineering, Embeddings, and RAG.
- Knowledge of agent-based AI workflows, orchestration, and tool calling concepts.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services or similar cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of SQL databases and handling structured or semi-structured datasets.
- Understanding of Machine Learning algorithms, model evaluation, and Responsible AI principles.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps workflows, and automation practices is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for learning emerging AI technologies and software engineering best practices.
