Harman is hiring talented and passionate candidates for the position of Software Engineer - DevOps Automation at its Bangalore location. This opportunity is ideal for freshers and candidates with up to 3 years of experience who want to build their careers in DevOps, CI/CD automation, embedded systems, and software engineering. Candidates with strong knowledge of Python, Linux, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automation technologies are encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools for embedded camera and vision systems.
- Build, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous and reliable software delivery.
- Develop and integrate automated test suites to ensure software quality and performance.
- Support performance profiling and optimization of embedded systems running on Linux, QNX, and Android.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to analyze and clarify system requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth software integration and release cycles.
- Troubleshoot build, deployment, automation, and integration issues across different platforms.
- Document automation frameworks, processes, testing strategies, and best practices.
- Contribute to improving DevOps methodologies, CI/CD processes, and automation efficiency.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or related fields.
- 0–3 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, automation, or embedded software environments.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems and operating systems such as Linux, QNX, and Android.
- Good knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
- Experience developing automation tools and scripts.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of CI/CD pipeline development.
- Exposure to GitLab CI/CD, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of software build, integration, deployment, and release workflows.
- Understanding of testing methodologies and test automation processes.
- Familiarity with Git version control systems.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Passion for learning new technologies related to automotive systems and DevOps automation.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Robot Framework, Pytest, GTest, or similar testing frameworks.
- Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or SAFe development methodologies.
- Knowledge of camera systems, computer vision, or infotainment platforms.
- Understanding of Generative AI applications in CI/CD and automation testing.
- Experience collaborating with supplier teams and cross-functional engineering teams.
