CGI is hiring talented Software Engineers for its Hyderabad location. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates and experienced professionals who are passionate about software development, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
The company is looking for candidates with experience in Empower Configuration along with hands-on knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO) and Jira. The selected candidates will work in an Agile environment, collaborate with development and testing teams, support workflow management, and maintain Empower applications.
Position Description
The selected Software Engineer will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting Empower applications while ensuring smooth project execution using Azure DevOps and Jira. The role also involves workflow management, defect tracking, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and support Empower applications.
- Work with Azure DevOps (ADO) for project management and development activities.
- Use Jira for issue tracking, sprint planning, and collaboration.
- Manage workflows and application configurations.
- Coordinate with development, QA, and business teams.
- Track defects and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Support application deployment and maintenance activities.
- Ensure quality and process compliance throughout the software lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Experience using Jira for project tracking.
- Understanding of workflow management.
- Knowledge of DevOps concepts and practices.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience with Test Automation is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Eligibility Criteria
- B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/MCA or equivalent qualification.
- Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
- Good understanding of software development concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Jira is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be eligible to work in India.
