Harman is hiring freshers for the role of Associate Engineer - AWS DevOps at its Chennai location. Candidates with strong interest in DevOps, Cloud Technologies, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and automation are encouraged to apply. Job Responsibilities
- Assist in building, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and Jenkins.
- Support automation of build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Work with Docker to containerize applications and services.
- Support deployment and basic operations on Kubernetes (K8s) environments.
- Help monitor CI/CD pipeline executions and troubleshoot failures.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline software delivery lifecycle.
- Learn and follow DevOps and infrastructure best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
- Any Graduation in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
- 0 to 1 year of experience including internships, academic projects, or hands-on labs.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipelines.
- Exposure to GitLab CI and/or Jenkins.
- Hands-on or academic experience with Docker.
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes concepts such as Pods, Services, and Deployments.
- Familiarity with Linux fundamentals.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python or Shell is a plus.
- Strong willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to build a career in DevOps and Cloud Engineering.
Bonus Skills
- Hands-on project or internship experience in DevOps or Cloud technologies.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Git version control and branching strategies.
- Understanding of Microservices Architecture.
- Exposure to monitoring or logging tools.
- Certification or coursework related to DevOps, Docker, or Kubernetes.
Required Skills
In this role, candidates are expected to solve routine technical problems through standard guidelines and supervision. You will work closely with your team and supervisor while contributing as an individual team member. The role may require rotational shifts and offers excellent learning opportunities in DevOps and Cloud Engineering.
